Andrew’s Talk:
Full Event Livestream:
Together a panel of artists explore and explain how sacred art has a desire to re-present beauty in the sacred, and ultimately uplift the soul with prayer.
Giorgio Fozzati and Fernando Cidoncha discuss the mission of the artists of Sacred Art School Firenze. They will highlight how at the heart of their profession is the contemplation of the Mystery.
Andrew de Sa explores sacred art and the Incarnation. He will specifically focus on the claim made by Pope Benedict XVI in Spirit of the Liturgy:
“The complete absence of images is incompatible with faith in the Incarnation of God. God has acted in history and entered into our ´sensible´ world, so that it may become transparent to him. Images of beauty, in which the mystery of the invisible God becomes visible, are an ´essential´ part of Christian worship”.
